Seconda Prat!ca Iberian Passion in Synagogue:

During the time before Easter that performances of the St. Matthew Passion of Bach are traditionally attended by many people in the northern part of Europe, the musicians of Seconda Prat! Ca gave a passionate concert on 26 March 2-17 based on passion music from the Iberian Peninsula. . The Passion concert took place in the recently renovated synagogue from 1766 on the ‘Verlengde Uilenburgerstraat’ at Amsterdam. It was An impressive experience to listen to this literally passionate performance. I have edited the photographs in grainy black and white to emphasize the special atmosphere.

Founded in 2012 by international musicians who had chosen the Netherlands for their studies, Seconda Prat!ca has grown into one of the leading ensembles of the new generation that are occupied with early music.
