Album 'Puerto Montt':

On our trip in November 2008 we flew after spending a day at the main city of Chile, Santiago, to Puerto Montt, the starting point of our journey along the ‘Carrer Austral’, the only raod to the most southern tip of mainland Chile, Punta Arenas, our goal at the Street Maggellan. Before going to our first night address, we made a tour through the area to get a taste of the atmosphere we could expect during our trip. Puerto Montt has a natural cove and harbour and a large fish market. It rains a lot in this region, but we were lucky to have beautiful weather after a cold start in Puerto Montt itself and were rewarded with a magnificent view from Puerto Varas over the 'Lago Llanquihue' on the famous volcano Orsono, which we visited later that day (see related album).
