Title: 'World Championschip beaming a boot'

in the community of 'Langedijk' (Longue dike) an enthusiastic boat beaming association is active. For boat beaming a barge pole with transverse handle is used with small gardeners boats, once called 'coffee boats', because this little boats were able to use also the smaller canals to reach quicly the farm fields to bring profiand and, of course, 'coffee' for lunch. On the occasion of the Cabbage Sail a championship was organized. Because this championship of beaming was only held in Langedijk they called this the World Championship of beaming a boat. In the boat in front the final champion is beaming his race!I
